Who We Are
A group of volunteers who love their community and want to do all we can to help families in the Forest of Dean.
A bit of history - we were established by a lady called Nikkie Neale in 2017. In 2018 Nikkie Lambert agreed to take on the running of the Baby Bank and recruited some new volunteers, Chris Hedges and Asiza Tait. At first the Baby Bank only helped with baby equipment, nappies, wipes and toiletries and clothes for premature and new-born babies. Asiza had the idea of The Children's Clothing Cupboard which would be for 0-10 year old children, this was launched in 2018, it became incorporated into the Forest of Dean Baby Bank soon after and expanded to include school uniform.
1 May 2020 we became a registered charity. #1189302 and continued to expand to meet the needs of our community. We now assist with clothes from 0-15 years old and school uniform up to 16 years old. Nikkie Lambert became one of our Founding Members as of 2025 and has stepped back as a volunteer due to family commitments. We are very grateful to the amazing volunteers we have who week in and week out ensure we can help all the families who contact us.
From a small baby bank operating out of our volunteers garages and homes we now have our own
dedicated storage unit in Ruspidge, Cinderford.
Latest changes to School Uniform provision.
We have reallocated all our school uniform donations to The Salvation Army. They have set up 'free shops', one at their Broadwell Hub and another at the Hilltop Children and Family Centre in Cinderford. Please contact us if you haven't been able to get all the items you need at the free shops.
